Don shows you a simple DIY solution to fix a leaky garden hose spigot.

Don is showing us how to fix a leaky spigot. If you have a leaky spigot outside, this can be very annoying, but easily fixed. There are a couple simple things you can try to fix your problem. First take a pair of pliers and tighten the packing nut on the front of the spigot. This should almost always solve your problem. If this does not work, unscrew the packing nut and slide it back as far as it can go. Next, apply 6 to 8 inches of teflon tape. Wrap it around the part where the nut was three to four times. Then, put the nut back in place and screw it in. Your leak should be gone.
