Ron is teaching us how to install a dimmer switch. There are many new options for choosing a dimmer switch today. They come in many different colors and styles. To install a dimmer, follow these steps: First, turn off the power. Next, remove the cover plate. Then, unscrew the switch plate and disconnect the wires. If you have wire wrapped around the terminals, you need to straighten the wire or cut and strip new wire. Next, twist the wires together and secure them with wire nuts. Finally, fold the wires in toward the back. Screw the dimmer plate on and put a new cover plate on. Turn your power back on and enjoy your new dimmer.
